Orlandi & Bessone Leave Swansea City

Andrea Orlandi and Fede Bessone have left Swansea City to join new clubs.

Spaniard Andrea Orlandi has joined Championship side Brighton & HA, while Argentine Fede Bessone has moved to Swindon Town under boss Paolo di Canio.

Both players have struggled to feature in the first team and it comes as no surprise that the duo have left the Liberty Stadium, as manager Michael Laudrup looks to reduce his squad, whilst bringing in new recruits.

Both were Roberto Martinez signings, while Bessone returned last season under Brendan Rodgers as emergency cover for the left back position. He had previously left to join Leeds United but he struggled to nail down a regular place at Elland Road.

Orlandi had shown glimpses of quality during his Five-year spell with the Swans, but injuries and a competitive midfield meant it was always going to be difficult for him to get regular game time.

Laudrup confirmed the duo's departure and said:

'Andrea (Orlandi) is going to Brighton and Fede Bessone to Swindon.

'We have to thank the players who are leaving. Every player wants to play so they have taken this decision and I wish them all the best,'
