Swansea City Still 'Trying' To Sign Hernandez

Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins says they are 'still trying' to bring in Pablo Hernandez from La Liga side Valencia.

It appears that the two clubs cannot agree a fee for the winger, who the Swans want as a replacement for Scott Sinclair - and coincidentally Man City and Swansea City are still bickering over a fee for the want-away man.

Scott Sinclair was expected to join the Premier League champions for 6.2m today, but now reports suggest that the two clubs are still not in agreement over the fee, and Huw Jenkins appears to be quite frustrated with the way Manchester City are going about trying to sign the winger, who has rejected a new contract at the Liberty Stadium.

Talking about Hernandez, Huw Jenkins told the Evening Post:

'We are still trying,'

'We need to know exactly where we are going in terms of our squad, so we've got to have an indication from Valencia about what is going to happen today.'

Jenkins also says that Laudrup has two attackers as a priority before the transfer window closes on Friday. Hernandez and Middlesbrough's Marvin Emnes appear to be the main two targets they'll pursue this week.
