Sinclair Set For £6.2m Man City Move

Swansea City winger Scott Sinclair looks like he'll finally complete a move to Manchester City after weeks of rumours and speculation.

After rejecting a new contract at the Liberty Stadium, title holders Manchester City have been linked with the midfielder for the past few weeks, but it wasn't known at first whether it was just media speculation or fact.

It appears to be the latter, as the often reliable Sky Sports sources believe that Mancini will sign their man on Tuesday for a £6.2m fee.

Scott Sinclair's current contract expires at the end of the season and it's probably best for the club if they cash in on him now, rather than see him leave for nothing next Summer.

The move has been delayed somewhat as the Swans have asked for a higher fee, plus they'll also want to line up a replacement.

Pablo Hernandez as Laudrup's main target to come in to cover the hole in the squad he'll leave behind, and he'll hope to have more success with an improved bid for the Valencia man.

Sinclair hasn't started in either of Swansea's opening two Premier League fixtures due to the ongoing media speculation linking him with a move out of the club, but he did net a goal at QPR as a substitute.

The Swans will now have to act fast to bring in a replacement as the transfer window closes on Friday.

Thursday update: Sinclair looks set to undergo a medical at Manchester City today to complete a move before Friday's transfer deadline (11pm).

How do you Swansea boys feel about losing Sinclair? Well done on a great start to the season, deGuzman looks like a great loan signing and Dyer reminds me of Shaun W-P, class act.

He's a judas.... rejected a new contract with us at the bridge and now he's flying off to city to (warm the bench again) behind bench warmers like Blotelli and Dzeko etc... Bertrand is now getting his turn (after years of patience) in the first team and he (Scott) might have broken into the team too by now if you stayed behind. What a shame though. Used to like him when he braided his hair as a teenager and sat behind Mourinho.

If Sinclair is a judas Bic, what does that make Sturridge?

Don't want anyone at the club that does not want to be there bought him for a million selling him for 6.2 bye bye splinter arse

At least he was honest and said upfront that he doesn't want to sign a new contract unlike others i.e. Pratley. Who can blame him for wanting to move on. I wish him all the best for his future.

No he didn't deaframbo when he was playing for team GB and we signed Laudrup he said he wanted to stay and learn from a past class player then Man City sniff around and he has gone Good luck playing 10 mins a week can't believe they got rid of Adam Johnson for him

City fan here ....£6.2 million rejected for Scott Sinclair....so surely best for all parties is for him to stay and we pick him up for free at the end of the season.
