Swansea Expected To Improve Hernandez Bid

Swansea Expected To Improve Hernandez Bid

Sources in Spain suggest that Swansea City are set to improve their bid for Valencia winger Pablo Hernandez.

Hernandez was completely left out of the Valencia squad that drew 1-1 vs Real Madrid on Sunday

Reports suggest that the Swans are preparing to increase their initial 5million euros offer up to 6.5million.

While it's been regarded that the player wants to join the Premier League club, Swansea's initial bid for the player didn't meet Valencia's asking price - despite them suffering with financial problems.

However, with coach Alan Curtis pretty much revealing that Scott Sinclair is set to leave this month - potentially to join title holders Manchester City, manager Michael Laudrup is keen to bring in Hernandez as his replacement. Therefore, it's expected that the 48 year-old will improve their bid to land the talented Spaniard.

Speculation about Hernandez's future at the La Liga side grew on Sunday night when he was completely left out of the squad that drew 1-1 against Real Madrid.

With Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-yeung set to complete a move to the Liberty Stadium this week, the Swans hope to complete an excellent Summer of spending with the arrival of Hernandez.
