Valencia Winger Hernandez Wants Swansea City Move?

Valencia Winger Hernandez Wants Swansea City Move?

According to Wales Online, Valencia winger Pablo Hernandez has pleaded with his La Liga club to allow him to join Swansea City.

Yesterday we reported the news that his agent has confirmed that they have received a 'concrete offer' from Swansea manager Michael Laudrup to bring him to South Wales.

Despite their current financial problems, Valencia are not keen to sign one of their key players, but the Swans are hopeful of completing the move, that could be worth £5m or more to the Spanish side.

With Scott Sinclair likely to leave in the near future after rejecting a new contract at the Liberty Stadium, Laudrup is moving quickly to replace him, and sees 27 year-old Hernandez as the perfect man to come in for the former Chelsea player.

Sinclair has clearly been eying a move to a bigger club for a number of weeks now, having previously put new contract talks on hold on two seperate occasions. Despite him declaring that he could stay and 'learn a lot' from Laudrup, he's not interested in a future at the Liberty Stadium.

New loanee Jonathan de Guzman believes he would be a fantastic signing if the Swans could pull it off, he said:

'He would be a great signing. He's a very good player, creative and fast,' said de Guzman.

'I've played against him in La Liga where he was one of the key players for Valencia.

'Every time I saw him play he impressed me.

'He's creative, he's fast and he can score goals from the left wing.'

Hopefully the Swans can complete the move for Hernandez this month as he sounds like the perfect replacement for Sinclair.
