'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Williams Hopes For Even Better Next Year

Ashley Williams hopes the Swans can be even better in the Premier League next season and improve on their impressive 11th place finish under former boss Brendan Rodgers.

New boss Michael Laudrup has a tough challenge ahead of him as he looks to continue Rodgers' good work as he too has a difficult task at Liverpool, as the Reds will demand success early on.

With loanee Steven Caulker returning to his club Tottenham Hotspur, Ashley Williams could well have a new regular centre back partner next season in new signing 'Chico' Flores. The Spaniard signed this week in a 2m move from Genoa.

'It would be great to do better than we did last year,'

'We want to continue to play our style of football and maintain our Premier League status for another season.

'Personally, I just want to have another solid season and keep my place in the team. Collectively, we want to play well as a squad and try and push on from last year.'
