Scott Donnelly Set To Leave Swansea City
Sky Sports are reporting that Scott Donnelly will leave the club as the new manager cuts down the squad for next season.
The former Aldershot midfielder has played just nine minutes of League football for the Swans since he joined the club two years ago.
New Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has said this week that he likes a small squad to work with - preferably 22 or 23 players.
There are currently 34 registered squad players at the Liberty Stadium, and with the new boss looking to make a few signings, he'll have to release over a dozen players to trim down the team to his ideal number of individuals.
It looks like his squad cuts will begin with releasing Scott Donnelly as he has struggled to force his way into the first team due to a such a competitive midfield unit existing at the club.
Sky Sports believe that the player feels that it is now the right time to leave the Liberty Stadium.
The 24 year-old has spent the past one and a half seasons on loan at Wycombe Wanderers, making 36 appearances and scoring 7 goals.
