Britton Can't Wait To Start Training With New Boss

Swansea City midfielder Leon Britton says he and the team can't wait to start per-season training with new manager Michael Laudrup.

The 29 year-old, one of the clubs most consistent performers and most accurate passers, says the players are looking forward to proving their quality to the new man in charge.

Britton will be used to that - a change of gaffer. Since joining on loan 10 years ago, the former West Ham United player has worked with five previous managers, with Laudrup his sixth after Brian Flynn, Kenny Jackett, Roberto Martinez, Paulo Sousa and Brendan Rodgers.

Britton told the Evening Post:

'We can't wait to get back on the training ground now so that we can see what the new manager's methods are and how he wants to do things,'

'It's a clean slate for everyone. We all have to prove ourselves all over again to the new manager and we'll all look forward to doing that.'

Michael Laudrup, regarded as Denmark's best ever player, is expected to arrive in Swansea on Thursday to be officially unveiled as their new manager at a press conference.
