Swansea City Look To Complete Sigurdsson Move
Swansea City are hoping to complete the signing of Gylfi Sigurdsson this week, as they look set to hold talks with him and his representatives.
It hasn't been officially confirmed, but a number of reports from various sources suggest that the Swans have had a bid accepted by Hoffenheim, thought to be around £7.2m.
If that's true, the club have permission to speak with Sigurdsson about a move, and Wales Online believe that the two parties are set to meet this week to discuss personal terms.
Vital Swansea understands that manager Brendan Rodgers is the big factor for Gylfi's potential decision to stay at the Liberty Stadium, instead of waiting for a better offer, which would surely be available to the goalscoring midfielder.
Therefore, if Sigurdsson does sign a contract with Swansea City, that would surely put an end to the ongoing speculation linking Brendan Rodgers with the Liverpool job, as there are some doubts that Roberto Martinez will accept the job offer at Anfield. We're almost certain that Sigurdsson wouldn't sign for us if Rodgers was thinking of a move elsewhere.
