Vorm Wins Vital Swansea's Player of the Year Vote

Swansea City goalkeeper Michel Vorm has won the Vital Swansea Player of the Year poll, as voted by you our readers.

Spurs loanee Steven Caulker was leading last night but a late flurry of votes has seen the Dutchman go just ahead and win it with 33%, just 4% in front of the defender who had 29%.

The two players have been vital to our success this season and played a big role in Swansea City achieving 14 clean sheets in an impressive opening campaign in the Premier League.

Leon Britton came third with 11%, and he too has had heaps of praise for his accurate passing throughout the season. His successful passing stats have been compared with the best midfielders in Europe, including the likes of Barcelona's Xavi.

Following Britton are Ashley Williams and star loanee Gylfi Sigurdsson - both with 6%, with Joe Allen getting 5% of the total votes.

Whether first or second, it has been a very pleasing season for Caulker and one that everyone should be proud
