Swansea City Set To Sign Samuel

Swansea City Set To Sign Samuel

Swansea City look set to sign 16 year-old Alex Samuel from Aberystwyth Town, after offering him a two-year scholarship.

The youngster, who's still at school has impressed for the welsh club as well as his performances for the Wales under-18s side.

Alex and his family were guests at Swansea City's final home game of last season - a 1-0 win against Liverpool.

A club statement read:

'It's a dream come true for Alex not only because he is moving to a Premier League club but he's moving to the club he supports and I feel sure he'll do well there.'

'The club will be sorry to see Alex move on but at least there is the promise of a pre-season friendly with a Swansea City XI'
