Arsenal Bid For Joe Allen Rumours Rejected

Rumours circulating on twitter suggesting that Swansea City have rejected a 3m bid for Joe Allen have been ruled out by the club.

Rumours spread on twitter so quickly this evening that Joe Allen was even trending on the social networking site, as fans discussed the idea that Arsenal had a 3m bid rejected by the Swans for the young welshman.

Further 'tweets' on twitter have said that Swansea City have rubbished the rumours, confirming that they have received no bids for Allen - who played a vital role in their successful debut season in the English top flight.

A 3million bid would be pointless anyway for such a promising youngster like Joe Allen, it would take a big bid to persuade the Swans to sell their homegrown player. They don't need to sell players to get cash - having benefited from the extra funds from TV following promotion to the Premier League.

It won't be surprising though if the Swans do receive bids for Allen, as he has adapted brilliantly in the higher division.
