'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Sigurdsson Not Concentrating On Future Just Yet

Gylfi Sigurdsson says he's not concentrating on his future just yet, as he looks forward to going back home to Iceland.

Everyone wants to know where he'll be playing his football next year, and everybody associated with Swansea City hopes he'll stay on at the Liberty Stadium and make his loan move a permanent one.

Sigurdsson's goals and assists have played a huge part since he joined the club in January, and his form has attracted the attention from some big clubs in the top flight, including Arsenal and Manchester United.

Sigurdsson said:

'There are no other offers — nothing,'

'I'm going on holiday, I'm going back to Iceland and we'll just have to see what the future holds.

'I've just been concentrating on Swansea.

'Speak to Brendan or (chairman) Huw Jenkins (about his future) — it's not something I'm concentrating on at the moment.'

Sigurdsson also praised the manager Brendan Rodgers:

'He's a terrific coach, he showed that when he was at Chelsea and Watford and he's done really well at Swansea,' added Sigurdsson.

'I respect him as a manager and that's really important.

'His approach suits all of the players, because if we tried to play any other way it probably wouldn't work out.'

Sigurdsson has recently said that he would like to stay in the Premier League, but the Swans face a difficult challenge of signing him, giving his form this year and the transfer fee required.
