Sigurdsson Wants To Stay In Premier League

Swansea City's on loan midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson has expressed his desire to stay in the Premier League.

The Icelandic midfielder has been in sensational form since joining the South Wales club back in January. It's that form and goals that has seen him attract the attention from many clubs, including the champions Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle United.

Swans manager Brendan Rodgers has expressed to Huw Jenkins that he wants to make Sigurdsson's move permanent in the Summer, but will they be outbid by one of the biggest clubs in the League?

Sigurdsson himself may also be tempted by a bigger move elsewhere, as he doesn't seem interested in staying in the German League next year with Hoffenheim.

Sigurdsson said:

'I'm not worried about my future - I'm just focused on the next game and the next game is a good one,'

'My thoughts haven't changed. I've told them [Hoffenheim] what I want to do next season and that's play in the Premier League and hopefully things can get sorted in the summer.

'I don't know what will happen. We'll have to wait and see. I'm really happy here, but not with the result on Saturday. I'm playing every game and have scored a few goals as well so I'm very happy.'
