Rodgers: My Swansea Team Can Be Even Better
Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers says his team are capable of improving to become an even better side after an excellent debut season in the Premier League.
After guaranteeing safety from relegation with games to spare, Rodgers is still looking for his side to pick up as many points as possible and to finish as high as they can in the table.
'I've been satisfied right throughout the season in terms of performances,'
'It's been a great season but there is always room for improvement and there is still a lot of growth within the group.
'The consistency levels of the players have been excellent. Just because Wolves have already been relegated, it won't alter our focus going into the game.
'But I'll pick the best team to win the game. For us, the target was to stay in the league and to do that we needed 25 players. But over the course of the season they have been absolutely magnificent.'
Talking about former goalkeeper Dorus de Vries who will face his former team-mates in Saturday's home game against Wolves, Rodgers added:
'He left here to play games, but unfortunately he only made his first Premier League appearance last weekend,'
'I was disappointed when he left; not with him, but because I had a lost a top goalkeeper. He was the ultimate professional when he was here and he was great for us.'
