Mancini: United Have 'Easy' Game vs Swansea City

Brendan Rodgers says Roberto Mancini's comments that Manchester United have an 'easy' home game against his Swansea City side are 'probably tongue in cheek'.

The Manchester City manager has been playing down his side's chances of winning the Premier League title. He recently even ruled out the possibility, conceding that their arch rivals United will be champions once again.

Mancini has spoke again about the title, saying Manchester United have an 'easy' run in, with games at home to Swansea City and away at Sunderland.

Rodgers responded to the claims from the Italian and said:

"What Roberto said was probably a bit tongue in cheek in fairness,"

"I think what we have shown over the course of the season is our competitive nature.

"We might be a way down the scale in terms of many things at this level, but one thing that`s guaranteed is that when you play Swansea City it`s going to be a competitive game and a difficult game.

"I`m sure Roberto knows that."

Surely Mancini knows it's far from easy playing against Swansea City, as his side lost 1-0 at the Liberty Stadium recently.

Rodgers added:

"Roberto only has to assess the games he has had against us,"

"For an hour we were the better team up there, and in the second game we kept a clean sheet and won.

"So probably if anyone knows our qualities it is Roberto, and he has reinforced that before.

"I will not lose sleep over it. We will go to Manchester United and look to put on a performance as always, but for the moment our focus is on Wolves."

Knocking the ball across your back four for an hour did not make you the better team at the Etihad. As soon as you opened up after the hour mark you were well and truly hammered. Four nil I think. Best team won at your place though. I think Mancini is right though, you are great at home, not so great away. Home banker.

Are you guys going to turn up at Old Trafford or just roll over?

Hey City fans, if you do your job and win all three games, it makes no difference what we do at United.
