Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle said he knew Swansea City would be a constant threat throughout the game.
Both goals in the 1-1 draw came in the opening 14 minutes. Scott Sinclair scoring an excellent 18-yard strike before Chris Eagles equalised 8 minutes later.
Plenty of chances followed for the Swans but they couldn't quite do enough to get all three points which they probably deserved, given the amount of opportunities and possession they had.
Bolton's share of the points yesterday could prove to be vital come the end of the season, as they battle against relegation to the Championship.
Coyle said:
'We gave ourselves a lot to do with the slow start and I was going to say gifting Swansea an opener but it was an exquisite finish from Sinclair,'
'It would be easy to feel sorry for ourselves but the lads really knuckled down and started to get a grip on the game, we scored a wonderful equaliser ourselves in a free-flowing move.
'We had one or two chances to win it but knowing that Swansea were always a threat.
'There was an element of frustration. We never put our whole game together. For the duration of the match it was just fits and starts but when we bring it together we know we're capable of winning games.'
'As I said all along I truly believed it would go right to the wire and nothing I've seen today changes my mind,' he added.
'The bottom line is it's in our own hands, we decide our own destiny. We have five games at the close of play today and the teams in around us have three.
'We have to go and try and maximise those games.'
