McEachran Still Patiently Waiting For His Chance

Swansea City's on loan midfielder Josh McEachran says he's still waiting patiently for his chance to prove himself.

The Chelsea youngster has found it difficult to make an impact at the club like fellow loanee Gylfi Sigurdsson has.

The 19 year-old says he was playing catch up with his fitness as he hadn't played for a few months before making a temporary switch to the Liberty Stadium.

McEachran also admitted that he was surprised by the level of quality at the club compared to what he's witnessed at Stamford Bridge.

'I've had to be patient,''

'And I've got to remain patient.

'The boys in midfield have been playing extremely well and I've got to wait for my chance again. If I'm honest, I've been surprised by the level here. When I arrived from Chelsea I didn't expect it to be so high.

With the midfield playing so well, together with his lack of fitness up until now, McEachran has only managed to play a handful of games with the Swans this year.

McEachran also says that he hopes to get another chance to prove his real quality:

'The supporters and the public in general have been really nice to me,''

'I get stopped in the street - which certainly doesn't happen in central London - to talk about the Swans.

'Everyone is so nice; so polite. They just want to wish me well and hope I'm enjoying it here. They keep telling me that every player that comes here never wants to go home!'

But with just nine games to go, McEachran is just hoping he gets another chance to show off his undoubted talents to the Jack Army.

'I hope to get another chance before the end of the season - and it will be the real me next time. No pressure then,''

His pressing game is not good enough (watching chelsea midfield too much). He Needs to spend another year and he would be the best and most complete midfielder in England, perhaps second only to Wilshire.

I'm sorry but I don't see it. He needs to bulk up a bit--skill is not enough. He has talent but needs to stand up to hard tackling. Another year here at Swansea? No--sorry
