Today's Western Mail reports that Swansea City are looking to apply for planning permission to extend the Liberty Stadium by an extra 10,000 seats.
Providing that the Swans can maintain their Premier League status, which looks like being extremely likely this year, Huw Jenkins will look to increase the stadium up to around a 30,000 capacity.
When stadium expansion was originally mentioned as a possible idea, Jenkins said:
"As supporters would expect, we are looking at every option and that includes expansion of the stadium,"
"Everything, of course, depends on being able to retain our status as a Premier League club.
"That is the first priority and, if we can stay in the Premier League, we will look at what we can do to push on.
"Before anything can be done there would have to be total agreement between all the partners in the Liberty Stadium, ourselves, the Ospreys and Swansea Council."
Following the Championship Play-Off win and promotion to the Premier League, the club sold 16,000 season tickets for this season - which meant only around 2,000 tickets are available on general sale for each match.
As a result, every home game has been a sell-out as Swansea fans have enjoyed the top flight football on show!
Hopefully the club can now move forward with expansion plans as they aim to grow into an established Premier League club.
