Swansea City Wins Performance Of The Week Award

Swansea City's win on Sunday against Manchester City has won them the Performance of the Week award.

The 1-0 victory, undoubtedly Swansea's best for many years, was picked out as the best performance by the League Managers Association judging panel - Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry.

Brendan Rodgers will receive a specially engraved crystal football in a presentation to be screened on Sky Soccer Saturday on 17th March.

The Swans boss has pulled off miracles this season, and he along with his players have received the plaudits for big wins such as those last weekend against Manchester City.

Manchester City aren't the only big team to suffer defeat at the Liberty Stadium. Arsenal lost 3-2, while Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur could only get draws.
