Mancini: We Didn't Deserve To Lose Against Swansea

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini thought his side didn't deserve to lose against Swansea City this afternoon.

Substitute Luke Moore headed home the vital winner 7 minutes from the end, after Scott Sinclair failed to convert from the penalty spot, while Micah Richards had a goal ruled out for offside.

The Swans were in control for the first 30 minutes, but Mancini thought his team controlled the game after the break:

'It's been difficult the last four days for me, but football is this - sometimes you can lose,'

'I don't think that we deserved to lose this game. I should say that Swansea played very well in the first 30 minutes. They played very good football.

'But in the second half we had control of the game. We missed three or four chances on the counter-attack and we conceded a stupid goal.

'Now it's important that we are very confident together because it changes nothing. It is better to stay on the top and now we are behind, but this doesn't change our targets.'

'I think that this championship maybe will be decided three games from the end,' he added.

'The season is long. What's happened today can happen also to United in the next game and we can go again on the top. It will change nothing.'

Swansea City's win knocks Manchester City off the top of the table, as they were overtaken by their arch rivals Manchester United who beat West Brom 2-0.

Well played Swansea. You were good value for your win. The hunger was evident right from the word go, pity the same can't be said about City. Good luck for the rest of the season.

Thanks Bluedub--I thought a lot of the City players looked jaded, Silva in particular and we just seemed to have more desire. Still I hope you pip United--Good Luck.
