Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers says his team have matured since the opening day defeat at Manchester City.
Despite losing 4-0 following four second half goals against the title favourites back in August, the Swans still impressed with good dominant football in the opening 60 minutes of the game.
The Swans now host the League leaders this weekend, and Brendan Rodgers told the Official Site how his side have matured since the opening game back in August last year.
'We have certainly matured,'
'The first game of the season was a defining moment for us to see how we could cope at this level.
'We were up against one of the top clubs in European football and we coped superbly for an hour. But at that point I knew we had arrived at this level and we could play our game.
'Our performances have matured as well. We know Manchester City have got top, top players but we don't fear any of the opposition we come up against.'
Rodgers also talked about Sunday's game - one he says he's looking forward to:
'We have a style and a definite way of playing and we believed that we could get results in this league,'
'We knew we would lose games because that's the nature of this league.
'The top clubs always have players that can make a difference. Manchester City, as a group and as a squad, is set up to cope with all the competitions they are involved in.
'They will probably make changes for Sunday, but Roberto Mancini has done a terrific job there. He has had a lot to deal with both on and off the field, but he has moulded them admirably.
'Either way, we'll look to attack the game like we do every week and it's certainly a game we're looking forward to.'
