Swansea City Won't Appeal Dyer's Red Card

Swansea City have decided not to appeal against Nathan Dyer's red card during Saturday's win at Wigan Athletic.

The skillful winger was shown a straight red card in the second half for a high tackle on former Swan Jordi Gomez.

It looked like a harsh decision, which is the thoughts from the club, but they fear that the player could receive an extended ban if the appeal fails.

The news means that Nathan Dyer will miss the next three games, with Wayne Routledge most likely to come in as his replacement on the left wing - starting on Sunday at home against Manchester City.
