Taylor: We're Determined To Avoid Third Defeat

Swansea City left back Neil Taylor says they are determined to avoid a third consecutive defeat on Saturday at Wigan Athletic.

Brendan Rodgers' side face former manager Roberto Martinez and his bottom-placed Latics team who are in desperate need of points to avoid relegation.

For the first time this season - impressively - the Swans lost their second successive game on Sunday - losing 2-0 at Stoke City.

Taylor says the Swans will be looking to repay the fans for their fantastic support:

'The boys are very disappointed, but now we move on,'

'Wigan are fighting for their lives and it's going to be another tough game up there.

'We're not going to go three games without picking up a point. We want to get something for the supporters because they have been excellent to us.'

Talking about Sunday's disappointing defeat at Stoke, Taylor added:

'They didn't get too many crosses in, but they had a lot of throws and corners. It's a weapon for them and is what works for them.

'We didn't put a bad performance in but their two goals were trademark goals for them.

'It was down to us to stop it, which we did at our place, but it was very difficult.

'At the back we have got to keep them out - they were two soft goals which we will look at.'
