'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Pulis Delighted To Win & End 4-Match Winless Run

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis was obviously delighted with his side's home win today against Swansea City.

The Potters ended a 4-match winless run as Upson and Crouch's first half goals gave them a vital 3 points.

While the Swans had a 2-week break - during which they visited a training camp in Tenerife, Stoke City had a busy 3-match cup schedule.

However, there was no evidence of that on show today as Pulis told Sky Sports that he was delighted with his side's energy:

'We are pleased because Brendan (Rodgers) and the backroom staff have done a great job there,'

'They play great football; they move the ball fantastically well. They work very, very hard, they are nice and compact and solid.

'I thought the lads were fantastic today with the closing down and stuff. Where they get the energy from I don't know. That is our 43rd game of the season today.'

'It's always nice to get a victory after that but in those games we've been very, very unlucky in a lot of respects and I mean unlucky.
