Pulis & Sidibe Talk About Swansea City

Pulis & Sidibe Talk About Swansea City

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis and striker Mamady Sidibe talk about Swansea City ahead of Sunday's game.

Mamady Sidibe made his senior debut at Swansea City, when they were playing in the bottom division at the Vetch Field.

He scored on his debut for the Swans in a 3-1 win at Macclesfield Town ten-and-a-half years ago.

His most famous performance for the club though was in a 4-2 home win against QPR in the FA Cup.

Sidibe, now 32, said:

'When I look back at my time there, we were in League Two and now they are a Premier League team so that is fantastic.

I'm happy because I have affection for them, and I know the supporters and staff, who have been there a long time, deserve these times. They have very good players there now and a top manager, who seems to have them playing extremely confidently.'

Pulis also praised Brendan Rodgers and his team:

'Brendan has acquitted himself remarkably well in his first season in the Premier League and his team has done him and the club proud so far.

It pains me to say that as a Newport man, but certainly not as a football fan. Swansea is a club with great tradition and excellent support which has waited an awful long time for this chance in the top flight.

They have done remarkably well and we know how tough this game is going to be.'
