Swansea Boss Expects Tough Game At Stoke
Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers says he's expecting a tough game next Sunday at Stoke City.
The Swans have had a relaxing break at a Tenerife training camp with no games in 2 weeks, while Stoke will play two cup ties beforehand.
Despite Stoke's busier schedule, Rodgers is still expecting a tough game against Tony Pulis' side:
'They have three cup ties while we aren't playing any games and I'm sure Stoke will want to do well in both the FA Cup and the Europa League,'
'But I think irrespective of what other fixtures they have, you know it will be a hard game when you go to play against Stoke.
'Going to the Britannia Stadium and getting a result is a difficult task for anyone at any time, we know that.
'You can always be sure that Tony's teams will be competitive.'
Rodgers also talked to the Evening Post about the two side's different preparations leading up to the game on February 26th:
'They have the game at Crawley which I am sure they will want to do well in having got to the FA Cup final last season,'
'Then they travel to the Mestalla for the second leg which is going to be another tough game.
'You can only concentrate on your next game, so it will only be after that they can focus on us.
'But we are not thinking about how Stoke are preparing.
'We are just using this break to reflect on what we feel has been a terrific season for us to date and looking at how we can keep on improving.'
