Britton: Why Norwich & Swansea Have Done Well

Swansea City midfielder Leon Britton explains why he thinks his team and Norwich have done so well this season in the Premier League.

While the bookmakers had the two promoted sides as favourites for relegation, they've surprised so many pundits, journalists of opposition players and managers by securing mid-table positions after 24 games.

Leon Britton believes the two sides have done well because they haven't made major changes to their team:

'Both clubs have had very good seasons so far. At the beginning of the season we were among the favourites to go down, Norwich too,'

'Both clubs have proved a lot of people wrong so far, though none of us are safe yet.

'If you were talking earlier in the season that we would play Norwich in a mid-table clash in February then no-one would have believed you.

'Why have we both done well? There haven't been many changes in either squads as the managers have kept faith with the majority of players that got them to the Premier League.

'It shows that when you have hungry players with quality that you can achieve things and you don't have to make wholesale changes when you come up from the Championship.

'It gives teams and people belief in the division below when you see the promoted teams holding their own in the Premier League.'

It's 9th vs 10th on Saturday as Swansea City host Norwich City at the Liberty Stadium. Brendan Rodgers will be looking for the reverse of the 3-1 defeat they suffered at Carrow Road earlier in the season.
