Bodde Blow As He Needs Another Operation

Swansea City midfielder Ferrie Bodde has been dealt another injury blow as he needs another knee operation.

The Dutchman was looking to make it third time lucky recently as he hoped to finally make a return from the knee ligament problem that has troubled him since November 2008.

Bodde lasted just two minutes in a recent Reserves match against Arsenal, having suffered a knee injury - but not to the one that has plagued his career for the past 3 years or more.

Due to the swelling on his knee, it is not yet known what the full extent of it is, but Doctors will find out later this month when Ferrie goes under the knife.

Bodde has once again returned home to his native Holland to spend time with his family, during what must be a disappointing and frustrating time for him.

Manager Brendan Rodgers said:

"He is a great guy and I felt so sad for him.

"The club have been brilliant with him, giving him all the time and support that he needs."We have given him everything that we can.

"It (the rehabilitation) has been such a long process so far. He had started to train properly and had got back into a position to play games, so for this to happen is terrible.

"It`s devastating for him."

wish him well.

I fear it's now the end for him, hope I'm wrong as it would be a huge shame not to see him play again
