Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers says today's 2-0 defeat at Sunderland was harsh on them after a dominant performance.
The Swans were unable to keep the momentum going after superb wins against Aston Villa and Arsenal recently, as they suffered a loss thanks to two excellent individual strikes either side of the break.
Brendan Rodgers says the only criticism he could have of his team's performance was the lack of quality in the final third. He was honest, as although the Swans created chances, they didn't make use of them. Sinclair missed probably our best chance after good work from Dyer and Sigurdsson, while Graham also a header go over the bar.
"I thought it was very, very harsh in terms of the result and it`s disappointing to take,"
"The performance levels were so high and I thought we were fantastic at times.
"We created plenty of chances and the only thing you could say was that maybe at times the final ball or touch let us down.
"But overall I can have no complaints to come to a ground like this against a team flying high in terms of results and confidence and control the game as we did.
"For me it really shows how the levels of our performances have improved and how we`ve developed and grown as a side.
"The players know that but no-one`s upbeat because we`re winners and we know it`s all about winning football games.
"And with the way we`ve played there is a sense of disbelief that we didn`t get something from the game. It`s hard to take to have played so well and get beaten by two goals of fantastic quality.
"But you have to give Sunderland credit and congratulations because that`s football sometimes. We`ll take our medicine and look to win our next game."
