McEachran: Lampard Convinced Me To Join Swansea

Josh McEachran said Frank Lampard helped to convince him that Swansea City was the right loan move for him.

The 18 year-old midfielder has a choice between a few Premier League clubs, including Aston Villa and Bolton Wanderers, but he was attracted to Swansea for their passing style. McEachran also worked with Rodgers when he was Youth Team manager at Stamford Bridge.

McEachran that Lampard told him he'd love it at Swansea:

'I spoke to Frank a few times before I came down here, and he told me I would love it. He said it is a really nice place with great fans,'

'I had a few options, but I thought Swansea would be the best club for me with their style of play. There were a few other clubs - Aston Villa had a big interest, I think Bolton were there and Wigan.'

'I knew last week that I was definitely going to come to Swansea,'

'I watched the Arsenal game, and their passing - the way they play football - it is just like watching Barcelona, really.

"They have done really well. I can't wait to play now."

McEachran has been tipped to make his debut for Swansea City at Sunderland on Saturday.
