Swansea City Release Butler & Beattie

Swansea City have released Craig Beattie and Tom Butler by mutual consent.

The duo become the third and fourth players to leave the club this month after Greek defender Vangelis left after his contract expired, while David Cotterill also left.

All four players have struggled to earn themselves a place in the first team this season, with none of them making a League appearance in the Premier League.

Sky Sports believe that Millwall are set to sign Craig Beattie on a free signing.

Swansea City fans have been calling for the fringe players to leave the club to save money on the wage bill, and not many will disagree with the decision to release the duo.
