McEachran Says He'll Be At Swansea On Monday

Chelsea youngster Josh McEachran has confirmed via twitter that he is set to join Swansea City on loan on Monday.

Swans boss Brendan Rodgers has been keen to bring in the 18 year-old midfielder for the past few weeks and finally we seem to have confirmation that he will making a temporary switch to South Wales.

The move had initially been delayed as Chelsea are looking at their current midfield injury situation to see if they need him for bench duty on Saturday when they play Sunderland.

The 18 year-old made the headlines himself today, by confirming on his twitter account 'I`ve finally found out about my loan! Off to Swansea on Monday!!'

The news comes as a big boost for the Swans as they look to maintain their excellent start to life in the Premier League.

Although he's only 18, many fans, players and Rodgers himself expect big things from the attacking midfielder in the near future, as he has shown superb passing, shooting and set piece ability.

Welcome to Swansea City Josh!

As a Chelsea supporter, you just gained one more supporter. I hope Josh has a wonderful loan spell for you all. We certainly see the potential he has and know regular game time will do wonders for all three parties involved. Oh yeah, hope you guys beat Arsenal on Sunday.

Everyone says that he's a great talent and likes to get the ball down and play, so hopefully he'll fit right in down here.

Look after the young lad, he's a gem!

really hope he's involved in the first team, he looks top class!

where do you think the guy will play though - replace Joe Allen in AM role? Joe Allen has been pretty impressive this season, so in my opinion Josh has a proper battle in front of him to get into the first XI - here's hoping that he has a great loan spell for you and gets you a top 10 finish and come's back to boss the midfield for Chelsea next season!

I don't think he's the same sort of player that Joe Allen is. Joe is a ball winner and presses high up the pitch.

If you have time, then read this one, it kind of sums it up nicely. www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268~2574008,00.html

BITC - i read Giles Smith's column.. it was a good one on Josh! @Philto - good observation - however of the midfield 3 - Leon Britton has to be the first name on the sheet because he is the one who receives the balls from the defense and starts distributing it .. very composed on the ball even in tight spaces, I must say. Kenny Augustien's space might be up for grabs - but playing Josh would leave take out the steel in midfield (having three lightweights in Britton, Allen and Josh).. Just thinking out loud
