Tate & Bodde Play 45 Minutes For Reserves
Alan Tate and Ferrie Bodde both played 45 minutes in a Reserves match against Hereford United today, as they continue their recovery from long term injuries.
The news comes as a massive boost to Swansea City as well as the two players, Ferrie Bodde in particular who has had a absolute nightmare with knee ligament injuries since November 2008.
Alan Tate meanwhile broke his leg in a bizarre golfing incident having only played in the first game of the Premier League season at Manchester City.
Daniel Alfei scored the all-important winning goal for the Swans in the second half from the penalty spot.
Just like he did in a friendly at Port Talbot in July, Bodde soon showed his quality, making a great long pass to put Casey Thomas through on goal, but the goalkeeper made a good save to deny the youngster an early goalscoring chance.
New signings Darnel Situ and Rory Donnelly both played the full 90 minutes.
Swansea City: Jose Moreira, Daniel Alfei, Alan Tate, Joe Walsh, Darnel Situ, Ferrie Bodde, Stephen Dobbie, Lee Lucas, Rory Donnelly, Gwion Edwards, Casey Thomas. Subs: Jordan Smith, Ben Davies, Kurtis March
