Swansea & QPR Managers Criticise Ref After Draw

Swansea City and QPR managers Brendan Rodgers and Neil Warnock respectively both criticised referee Lee Probert after today's game.

Brendan Rodgers criticised Probert for failing to give his side a 'clear penalty' in the second half, while Warnock was not happy that he allowed Graham's goal to stand despite a handball beforehand.

Rodgers said:

"It was a clear penalty. I`ve seen it from a few angles and it was a clear penalty,"

"We had worked the space very well, our movement was good and Traore`s made the foul on Danny. Normally when that happens you expect to get a penalty.

"I thought it summed up Lee`s performance, which was interesting to say the least.

"If we had the penalty we would have gone on to win the game for sure."

Warnock said that the referee told him that he spotted the handball, but allowed the goal as he didn't think it was deliberate.

"I haven`t seen it but I hope it was a stonewall penalty for Swansea because, at least then, it might even things out.

"I`m very, very disappointed with their goal because it was a deliberate handball.

"I spoke to Lee and he said he had seen it but decided it was not deliberate, which makes it even worse for me."

As always managers of under performing teams blame referees. A draw was the only fair result for two very average sides.
