Rodgers Has 'No Doubt' Away Win Will Come

As Swansea City still wait for their first away win, manager Brendan Rodgers says he has no doubt that it will come.

Those are the thoughts of the Swans boss after his side suffered yet another defeat on the road, this time at Everton on Wednesday night.

Rodgers admits that the lack of away wins is putting more pressure on the team at home:

'It's very difficult to come away from home in this division,'

'I felt we should have got a point at Everton, but we didn't and that puts a bit more pressure on our home games.

'But we have dealt with that over the last 17 months — we have been very, very strong at home.

'Until we get that away win, and there's no doubt it will come, we will keep our focus and keep trying.

'But until it comes, we will have to do what we've done throughout the season and get our points at home.'

Rodgers was also disappointed that his side aren't doing what they do best in away games - controlling the midfield:

'I've felt in the last two games we didn't control the midfield,'

'Against Newcastle in the first half and against Everton we didn't control it.

'That's the basis of our game. If we can't control the midfield area, then it starves our front players of opportunities and service. It's important, but it's the same for a lot of teams when you come away from home.'

The worrying thing is that we don't create chances away from home. Only one against Everton and not much more against Newcastle. How can we expect to score if we don't create at least 5 or 6 chances. We are also playing much deeper,it's as if the manager is just concentrating on a goalless draw. He is deluding himself if he thinks that an away win will come--I'm sorry I can't see it.
