Rodgers: We Need 4-6 Signings In January

Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers believes he needs 4-6 new signings in January to keep the momentum going in the second half of the season.

The Swans have made a promising start to their top flight campaign, but as Sir Alex Ferguson advised him last weekend, Rodgers will need to strengthen further in the New Year and he knows it.

Our rivals will also look to strengthen - ready for the second half of the season and the Swans must do the same to keep up with the teams around them.

'We are looking to identify targets to keep us strong,'

'To give us the opportunity to stay in the league, I feel we need between four to six players.'

'We've done very well up until now with the players that we have,'

'But you go into the second part of the season as you get towards May, you are going to need all of your players.

'I wanted to assess it through to January, the players that allowed us to arrive in this position deserved that opportunity.

'To give us the opportunity to stay in the league, I feel we need between four to six players just to ensure that we keep our strength and our depth.

'That is something we will look to do and I'm sure the club want to try and solve that as well.'

4 would be enough. 6 is too many for me but if they're all good I'll have no complaints! I don't think we should change things too much, but we do need more strength in depth
