'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Swansea's Top Flight Status Pleases Giggs

Manchester United legend and Welshman Ryan Giggs says Swansea City's promotion to the Premier League is excellent for Welsh football.

In a career that has so far lasted 21 years with the title holders, Giggs has played over 700 games in the top League with United, as well as 64 caps for Wales.

Giggs said ahead of Saturday's game between Swansea City and Manchester United at the Liberty Stadium:

'It's fantastic news for Welsh football that Swansea are doing so well and, as a Welshman, I'm very much looking forward to Manchester United visiting Wales for the first ever time in the Premier League,'

'Swansea is a great city and the Swans have tremendous support in a terrific stadium. All Premier League games are tough and I'm sure the match against the Swans will be no different.'
