'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Irwin: Swansea City Are A Revelation

Former Manchester United legend Dennis Irwin says Swansea City 'have been a revelation'.

The former Red Devils' full back has praised Brendan Rodgers and the style of football he's got his team playing this season, ahead of Saturday's game as the Swans host the Premier League title holders.

Irwin believes the Swans are stronger defensively than Blackpool, last season's Championship Play-Off winners and he also picked out goalkeeper Michel Vorm for special praise:

'They've been a revelation. Their style of football is fantastic to watch so why change?'

'It's the way they play their best. The manager feels it's the best way for them to get results and rightly so.

'Defensively they're more solid than Blackpool, I think you've seen that in the five home games they've only conceded one goal.

'The goalkeeper Vorm has been a real find for them and I think with the couple of signings that Rodgers has made as well, they can score goals.'
