Caulker Hopes To Return For Swans In 2-3 Weeks

Tottenham Hotspur loanee defender Steven Caulker is hoping to return to first team action for the Swans ahead of schedule after suffering a knee injury at Arsenal last month.

The young centre back wasn't expected back in action until the end of November, but Caulker is hoping that after returning to the Swans next week, he'll be available for selection following a further two weeks of full training.

Brendan Rodgers has certainly missed Caulker, as he has had to rely on Garry Monk to fill the gap - the skipper is still working his way back to full fitness.

Caulker said:

"I am doing well at the moment,"

"I am running this week at Tottenham and I`ll be coming back to Swansea next week.

"If everything goes well, I will get two weeks of training under my belt with Swansea and then I will be up for selection.

"Fingers crossed that everything goes well because my comeback can`t come quickly enough."

Caulker also hopes to stay at Swansea City for the entire season. He knows he'll get regular first team football at the Liberty Stadium, but Spurs have the option of recalling him in January, and the loan move will be reviewed then.

He added:

"I want to be at Swansea for the full season,"

"And having been back at Spurs and spoken to them, they are happy with the progress I am making at Swansea.

"There`s no reason why I should go back to Spurs (in January), and there will be no complaints from me if I do stay at Swansea.

"In my head I will be playing for Swansea for the rest of the season, although I will not know for sure until January."

Hi to all you Swansea Fans, hope you get Steven Caulker back in the ranks soon, looks like his making progress with his parent club. Once he returns to your side and your going to the games, anyone feel like giving us on vital spurs a post, on his progress. Swansea FC has always been in my thoughts, it goes back a number of years, when meeting 3 very stunning girls on holiday, staying in the same hotel in Majorca, all members of Swansea Supporters Club, Holiday romance, happy days and good luck for the season, but not to much against us :-)
