Vorm Criticises Defence After Norwich Defeat

Goalkeeper Michel Vorm says the defending 'wasn't that good' against Norwich City on Saturday as Swansea City lost 3-1.

The Dutch shot stopper says the Swans must start improving after they continued their 100% losing run on their travels.

Brendan Rodgers' side conceded a goal within the opening minute, with Norwich City very quick out of the blocks while the Swans had barely got out of the dressing room.

Norwich then doubled their lead before Danny Graham got a goal back for the Swans in a busy opening 12 minutes at Carrow Road.

Vorm said:

'We want to put the last result behind us and move onto Wolves, but it's important we learn from what went wrong.

'The next game is important but we had opportunities to win against Norwich. It's frustrating but we have to go on and if we play as we do at home, we can win matches like Wolves.

'But if we play as we did on Saturday then we can also lose.

'As a team we started very badly and after ten minutes we were 2-0 down.

'Norwich aren't the best team in the league and if we'd played our own game and not conceded so early we had a good chance of winning.

'Against Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea we conceded goals but that was a different kind of level.

'I didn't expect us to concede three at Norwich, it was a bad day for us as a team.

'The defence wasn't that good and at this level every team can score if you don't defend well. I didn't really have a chance with any of the goals.'
