After a difficult opening six games in the Premier League, Ashley Willams is targeting a points haul during October with the two home games as 'must win'.
Swansea City have faced Manchester City (a) Arsenal (a) and Chelsea (a) in the first six games of the season. Many wouldn't have predicted the Swans getting anything from those games, however, October is a different test altogether with trips to Norwich (a) and Wolves (a).
The Swans, who are yet to concede a goal at home thus far in the Premier League, will face Stoke and Bolton during the course of October and after capturing their first win at home to West Bromwich Albion, Ashley Williams believes it's at the Liberty that Swansea need to take maximum points:
"We won`t be disrespectful to any of the teams coming up but the two home games in October are ones we want to get wins from. We need to start picking up three points.
"We have to work hard and try to pick up as many points as possible.
"Stoke are a good team and it will be very difficult game. They are a different type of team and that`s the beauty of the Premier League. You go from one style to the next. But it`s a home game and we want to win."
Stoke City have recently enjoyed their first Premier League point against Champions Manchester United and are proving difficult to beat, especially at home.
Swansea defender Williams added: "Stoke got a good result against Man United so we know it will be tough.
"I`ve played against Crouch for Swansea against Portsmouth. He`s a different opponent to most for obvious reasons. He`s a great player on the deck and very good in the air.
"But you have to relish the battle whether it`s with Crouch, Jones or Walters."
