Oakes Completes Swansea Move

As expected, goalkeeper Andy Oakes has completed his move to the Swans after putting to paper on a 1-year deal.

The former Walsall shot stopper has been on trial for the last few weeks and confirmed that he was going to sign after the squad returned from their 5-day training camp in Devon.

He had been offered a new contract with the Saddlers but he turned it down following their relegation from League One.

Since releasing Brian Murphy in May, Jackett has been looking for a replacement 'keeper and he'll be hoping that Oakes can push Gueret for the No.1 spot.

Welcome. Hope he does get the chance to play and show that he is capable of being our No. 1.

I hope Jackett drops Gueret if he plays as badly as he did last season. It doesn't suond as if he's been that good in the pre-season games so hopefully Oakes can come in and do a better job if we need him.
