'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Rodgers Thanks Swansea City For Support

Brendan Rodgers thanked Swansea City for its support during the sad time for mourning his father recent death.

The Swans boss missed Saturday's game at Arsenal after his father passed away earlier that morning.

Brendan Rodgers told the Official Site that he is pleased to be back after attending his father's funeral, and he thanked the club and the city for their support during what's been a very sad and difficult time for him.

'I'm pleased to be back because it's my natural environment,'

'Swansea City has been like a family to me and it's a city that has always given me a wonderful reception.

'But I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their recent kind messages of support. That includes everyone from inside and outside of the football fraternity.

'It has meant a lot to myself and my family and we are eternally grateful for that.'
