Rodgers Looking Forward To Difficult Arsenal Test

Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers says he's looking forward to Saturday's difficult trip to Arsenal.

The Irishman is wary that the Gunners will be more motivated to win the game after getting thrashed 8-2 at Manchester United in their last game.

Rodgers told the Official Site:

'Arsenal are a magnificent club and their manager will motivate them,'

'They also have new players as well who will want to make a good start.

'Having worked with big players before, I know that when they lose they are more motivated to come back and win the next game.'

Rodgers also talked about his side's lack of goals:

'If, after ten games we haven't scored or got a result, then that's something to look at,'

'But the most important thing for me is that we're creating chances.

'In the two home games we were a real threat and to keep two cleansheets is very important at this level.

'We have natural goalscorers and players who can create goals, and as long as that dynamic continues then I'm sure we are going to score goals.

'Our performance levels have been good so far and we are going to a magnificent arena in the Emirates against good players, but we also have good players as well.'

He also believes his side can beat Arsenal at the Emirates:

'Absolutely, otherwise you might as well stay at home,'

'But we are in the business of winning and it's a game of inches, and we are inches away from getting the goals that turn draws into wins.

'At this level you get the chance to play, but you have to have courage to play, and that's the difference. We showed against Manchester City that we won't fear anyone this year.

'My players have incredible courage, and if you can impose your game onto them then you have the chance to get positive results.'
