Swansea City Sign Fulham Defender Halliche On Loan

Sky Sports News are tonight confirming that Swansea City have completed the loan signing of Rafik Halliche.

Manager Brendan Rodgers has stepped up his search for defenders on deadline day after Alan Tate suffered a broken leg recently in a bizarre golfing incident.

The Algerian 24 year-old has served his country at under-23 and senior level, and he joined Fulham in 2010 for an undisclosed fee, thought to be worth just over 1m.

Halliche who joins the Swans on loan until the 1st of January 2012, has made just 1 substitute appearance for Fulham.

More news on this signing and other potential signings to follow as we get closer to tonight's 11pm transfer deadline.

I believe that newcomers should get loan on high profile players for one season to reserve more funds and get fans more interested and happy. When the position is more stable, the manager can then bring in better players as players will get more confident with the team. They should refrain from getting normal profiled players from Champion league or lower
