Swansea City Reserves Beat Liverpool 2-1

Swansea City Reserves beat Liverpool Reserves 2-1 this evening at Parc Y Scarlets, thanks to goals from Craig Beattie and David Cotterill.

Liverpool took the lead after just 5 minutes when Conor Coady netted from a free-kick, but the Swans struck back before the break. Beattie equalised from close range and Cotterill put us in front from the penalty spot after Mendy fouled Beattie.

The hosts had a man advantage for the entire second half but Liverpool came back strong and created a number of opportunities to get back in the game, but new signing Tremmel made some good saves to keep us in front.

Ngog then almost helped to get a late equaliser for the Reds after an excellent run towards the Swansea goal. He passed the ball to Fernandez but his shot flew just past the post.

The win gives the Reserves team a big boost following the 6-0 defeat against Manchester United.
