Caulker 'Can't Wait' For Man City Opener

Swansea City's on loan Tottenham Hotspur defender Steven Caulker says he 'can't wait' for tonight's season opener away at Manchester City.

The 19 year-old is set to make his debut tonight at the Etihad Stadium at centre back alongside Ashley Williams, and he's 'excited' and 'apprehensive' ahead of the big game:

"It doesn`t come much bigger than this and I can`t wait,"

"I`ve been looking forward to this moment since I was a little kid and it`s a match to go out and showcase my ability.

"I`m excited and of course at the same time a little apprehensive because we`re up against some of the best players in the world, there is no denying that.'

Caulker also says he has confidence in his ability to do well at the top level:

"I have the belief in myself to do well. I want to go out there and enjoy it as well, hopefully play well and get three points or a draw, any positive scoreline would be fantastic."

"This is a confident team and very brave in the way they play,"

"The team will play football, regardless of the situation.

"The manager has confidence in the players and he`s emphasised throughout pre-season that he wants to play like that. It`s a confident team and they trust every player on the ball.'
