Tevez Unlikely To Start Against Swansea City

Want-away Manchester City striker - Carlos Tevez, returns to Carrington Training Ground today, but is unlikely to be fit for the Premier League Opener With Swansea City.

Manchester City coach David Platt confirmed to Sky Sports News that Tevez has returned to training this morning following the conclusion of the Copa America, but concedes that he is unlikely to feature in the clash with Swansea at the newly named Etihad Stadium.

'Just finished the Copa America and had three weeks off, which the players need. There's only eight-nine days before that game [against Swansea], I think it'll be tight,' Platt told Sky Sports News. 'But Carlos is a strange one, in the sense he doesn't need a lot of time to get back fit - so we'll see. Once he's back in the building, we'll look at things then.'

No further bids have been recieved for Carlos Tevez since the collapse of the deal to Corinthians, so Tevez is set to resume his Manchester City career.

Hello chaps, I'm going to be in Swanasea for our opening game against you guys (family ties etc). Can you suggest a family friendly pub where we can watch the game that will also ensure a sympathetic approach after you've beaten us. Oh yes, we might have Tevez, Aguero, Silva and Wayne Bridge but we still know how to shoot ourselves in the foot!
