Mancini Predicts Difficult Opener Against Swansea
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini said he's expecting a difficult opening game at home to Swansea City on August 15th.
The Italian spoke briefly about the Swansea game after watching his side throw away a 2-0 lead to lose the Community Shield to arch rivals Manchester United 3-2 at Wembley this afternoon.
Manchester City (9/2) are third favourites amongst the bookmakers to win the Premier League next season behind Manchester United and Chelsea. They're 1/4 on to beat Swansea City, while the reverse result is 14/1 for Rodgers' to deliver a shock at the Etihad Stadium. A draw is 5/1.
Mancini said:
'We start the Barclays Premier League with a difficult game because all the teams that come up from the first division are very very strong in the first 2 or 3 months.
For this, we should pay attention.
